Imagine coming home from work on a Monday and your 15 yr old isn't home? You would probably be a bit mad, disappointed she didn't call you or leave you a note to tell you where she was going and who with. You call and her phone is off "Strange, she never has her phone off." Hours pass with no sign of her- you begin to call her friends, they say they haven't heard from her all day. Your heart begins to beat rapidly, the anger and disappointment now turn into gut wrenching fear. "WHERE IS SHE?"

Your stomach is twisted into knots, your breathing quick and shallow, your heart pounding out of your chest as you get into the car and drive around. "WHERE COULD SHE BE?"  AS you drive, you try to keep the panic stuffed deep down inside, you notice your knuckles are white as you hold onto the steering wheel. "WHERE IS SHE?" You go home, praying that when you walk into the house, she is there sitting on the couch watching tv or brooding in her bedroom over some drama that happened between friends. You pray for ANYTHING just to see her safe at home, but no....

You walk into an empty quiet house and go immediately into her bedroom looking for signs, for clues- there is nothing, not even her medicine is gone. WAIT! Her medicine! "WHERE IS SHE?" SHE NEEDS HER MEDICINE!!"

You make mental notes of everywhere she could have gone- if it was for short term she wouldnt need her medicine, but if she was planning on running away she would have taken it with her. "WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?"

You call the local police and calmly they take a report. You listen as they tell you there is NOTHING they can do until she is listed as a MISSING PERSON 48 hours later.

AS A MOTHER 48 HOURS IS AN ETERNITY when your child is missing. Each hours crawls by as you watch every set of headlights turn down your street or jump every time the phone rings. 48 HOURS IS AN ETERNITY as you walk down the hall past the framed pictures of a bright and bubbly child, and past your daughters bedroom only to find it empty- every time you go by.

Yesterday at noon was the 48th hour for Brooke's mom with no word, no leads from ANYONE. Today at noon will mark 72 HOURS since Brooke has been missing with no word, no update, no leads..

WHAT IF THIS WERE YOUR DAUGHTER????
