Whenever the holidays roll around I am reminded of one light source that seems to shine more brightly and in more places than at any other time of the year. .. candlelight. The original source of light, a flame, still draws and unites people together. Whether you are congregating, commiserating or dining, candlelight, and the warm glow that it produces, is unique and difficult to duplicate. Having said that, here are some fixtures that go the extra mile to try to reproduce the overall feeling of natural light.

The first two fixtures are from Justice Design Group. Available in different finishes and dimensions, I have specified these fixtures in contemporary homes as well as in homes with Arts and Crafts architecture. The third fixture is manufactured by Kichler Lighting and is actually an exterior chandelier. My client had built a custom gazebo and this was the crowning touch. In an effort to bring the inside out… an exterior chandelier that has the feeling of candlelight…hmmm, what could be more romantic?
