Susan G. Komen "Polk" County Race for the Cure 2012
Have You Heard the News?
We are coloring Polk County pink the week of January 7th, 2012 to culminate the first ever Polk
County Race For The Cure® on January 14, 2012.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure® presents “Polk Race For the Cure”, a breast cancer awareness charity event. 75% of the proceeds raised will help under-served and under-insured Polk County women (and men)
potentially receive life-saving screenings for breast cancer. YOU can help in this important cause!
We need Team Leaders to can raise critical dollars in the fight against this dreaded disease. Each
Team Leader is responsible for organizing a team to help raise money for the Race. But they will not be alone. Not only will I serve as your personal contact, but also provide all the tools necessary to help every Team Leader be successful. We provide ideas and strategies and tools to lead you towards awesome outcomes.
Our Polk County race is unique nationally because we are only the third of all Komen Race for the Cure® events to include both a 5k AND 10k sanctioned run. We run so that every uninsured low-income man or woman has access to mammograms. We run so that one day we can live in a world without breast
cancer.
Please share this e-mail with everyone to encourage them to also be a Team Leader, event volunteer, participant or even a sponsor. Additionally, we are happy to talk to individuals who might also be interested in helping plan the Polk event.
