I think today was pay it forward day....if it was, I missed it. I would have loved to take part in that effort and pay it forward. I love to do little things like going through a toll booth and paying for the car behind me. It doesn't take much to make someone's day....but sometimes that little thing can mean a lot.
Today was not a good day, at first. Aching from head to toe from I don't know what, but with no other flu or cold symptoms to blame it on, I have to think it is one of the three health issues I'm dealing with right now. I sat in my living room, without having even had my morning cup of tea (a critical point in my morning), I felt overwhelmed by the mountain of work before me. Some of the work was time sensitive, some of it was just work. I dove in head first like I always do. And I made good progress until I hit a road block. I had two different issues which seemed insurmountable. And I couldn't get through on the phones to customer service because there was snow in Idaho.
So I moved on to the next task and became overwhelmed again. Then a blonde haired whirlwind of energy came and saved the day...she paid it forward in several ways. She saved my day. And another dark haired dynamo made the effort to do that, even though she was sick herself and dealing with sick children.
People like that amaze me. And I'm glad we have them. Thanks for paying it forward...next time, will somebody let me know ahead of time?
