Gradually reduce the intake so that your body won’t become rebellious about the loss of calories and cause you to go back to eating the junk food again.

 

Always consider what you are doing to your body. Changing one poor eating habit at time will help you achieve your goal. Let’s take another look at the example of soda pop. A great number of people think they should switch from regular pop to diet pop when they want to lose weight. If you only drink one soda a day, that will eliminate 200 calories. However, your body wants its sugar that it has come to expect and will gnaw at you until you satisfy the craving – probably from another food that has more calories. Your mouth may not realize the difference, but your system will. Mix a juice cocktail instead by adding water and ice to a half glass of juice. You will get sugar but it is not the same. The sugar calories in this drink come from fruit and not from corn sweeteners.

 

Gradually change one eating habit by giving your body the time it needs to adjust. How will you know that it has changed? When you find that you automatically mix a juice cocktail, then there has been a change. It will become as automatic as drinking pop. You should only move on to making a second change when you are sure that you have accomplished your goal with the first one. Give your body all the time that it needs.
