It was just a little over 6 months ago when I started planning my wedding, I thought "hey this isn't bad at all!!! I get to try on beautiful dresses, pick out colors and try out 1000 pieces of cake" Never did I consider picking and choosing out bridesmaid and hurting people's feelings by not including them in the bridal party, nor did i consider the guest list or the place settings .. day by day the headache started to stretch across my brain snapping like a rubber band that has been pulled too tight. The colors I first chose was Baby Blue and White and after four hours of making party favors, and callousing up my fingers from the hot glue gun later... I decided to go Black and Ivory instead, ughhh the rubber band just snapped again.
In the inital begining I honestly did have a budget, a very tight, very small budget but a budget none the less... now two months before the wedding I laugh nervously as i add up the totals on the reciepts piled up before me. These reciepts not yet including the hair and makeup, the last touches on the centerpieces, the eatery and the linen.. oh let alone the tuxes... its always one thing after another though ... right? My wallet is aching at the fact that I still need several things that I forgot about,.. such as balloons, confetti, garter belt, hooney moon accesories... its actually practically dead...
As for the wedding gown ..It's georgous.. words cant say how lovely it is... however I did buy it 3 months after I had my daughter and when I tried it on it fit like a glove.. clung to all the right curves, that was 2 months ago.,. blame it on the stress of planning a wedding I;ve lost 11 lbs since then, now my once lovey dress looks like its hanging on a sack of bones when I put it on, ughhhh I called around to get pricing on alterations and lo and behold if the alterations does'nt cost more than my dress did... Im dying here...
So yes, im looking forward to saying I Do, and dancing my first dance as MRS JOHN SEPE JR, but even more than that at this point im looking forward to a Malibu and Pineapple mixed drink on the way to the honeymoon where i can say "farewell ribbons, and invitations, and non replied RSVP's.. fare thee well...
