Last time I gave you some of the male perspective on advice that a women’s magazine was offering to women. This time I thought that I’d let you in on some of the advice a men’s magazine is offering to us guys about how to keep our wives happy and our marriages out of trouble. This comes from an article I found in AskMen.com and it makes quite a bit of sense.

1. DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU'LL DO.
When you first started dating, you probably always called when you said you would. But after a while, small things like that start to slip. And it's a good bet your wife thinks it means you're taking her for granted.

2. RANDOMLY CLUE HER IN.
Tell her what you're thinking at random times. If you had a dream about her last night, tell her. If you're thinking about her instead of working on a report for work, send her an e-mail saying so.

3. PROVE YOU'RE OBSERVANT.
Women want you to notice things. And maybe you usually do, but you just don't bother to SAY you noticed. So if you see that she's wearing one of her favorite things, remind her how attractive she looks.

4. REMIND HER SHE'S NOT 'OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND'.
An insecure wife's imagination will run wild if you're out late, and she doesn't hear from you. Especially when you're out with the guys.

5. MAINTAIN CONTACT WHEN YOU'RE OUT TOGETHER.
That doesn't mean you have to stick to her side all night when you're at a party. Just maintain some sort of connection throughout the night.

The problem with the article was that it was slanted in how to keep our wives or girlfriends off your back and it missed the most important aspect of a happy relationship. It’s vital that we as men take into equal consideration the wants and needs of our wives. There is NOTHING emasculating about doing that. My theory, and this may seem selfish, is the better you take care of your wife, the better she will take care of YOU!

Enjoy!
