Hi Everyone my name is JoAnna and I'm 36 years old. I have a one year old and I just started my own business 4 months ago. I'm trying to accept my new body after having my son and juggling a new business. I've had the same hair style since high school and I rarely wear makeup since I don't know what goes well with my freckled skin and red hair. I'd like to get a makeover to not only look more professional for my business but to also look and feel like a more confident mom. Thanks.

Janice Bonham

Hello, I am a 60 year old woman who after 13 years was recently let go from my job. Wow, what a blow to the ego. Winning this makeover would be such a boost for my morale, being pampered is what a woman needs to make her feel special. I wasn't expecting to be in the job hunting game at my age but it happens and I must make the best of it. Thank you for this opportunity to enter this makeover contest. If awarded this chance it will help me get through this time with a lot more confidence, sincerely, Janice

Lynn Browning

My name is Lynn Browning and I have a full time business that has had a lot of hard time for the last 4 years. I’m 52 years young and my 86 year old father came to live with me last year. I care for him and I’m trying to run a full time business. I have one son that I should have eaten at birth, but he would have made me sick, just kidding but he is very trying and I know that other mother can relate to what I’m saying. He has 5 wonderful kids that fill my life with joy. It is hard to get everything done so I have to let something go. (Myself). My husband of 25 years left me when the business started to fail and the money was all gone. He moved into our home with a younger woman to take the cake. My next husband stopped paying the mortgage on our home that he was living in and now the bank is foreclosing on this property and he stopped by just the other day to ask if he can move back in with me. Thank God I had my mind in the right place to say NO. And he is still living and supports the other woman. I need to be pamper because my final devoice is coming up and I would like to walk in the court room with my head healed high, and with the confident that a woman scored should have.

#4

Denise Gregory

As a licensed massage therapist, my appearance is my first impression. Since starting my own business and the slow economy money is tight and I haven't been able to visit a salon for a couple of years. My hair is fine and thin and I need a cut that will be easy and that complements my look and lifestyle. I have never been trained in the proper way to apply makeup and just try to copy what I see in magazines. I have a friend that trims my hair but I need a professional job done. I truly believe that appearance is very important in my profession. Please HELP.

Denise Gregory, LMT

Peggy Hickson

In September 1983, I became a single mother of a 2 year old and newborn. I supported the three of us by cleaning houses which never allowed for me to pamper myself. This September is my 70th birthday and I am finally able to focus on me! I am hoping to go on cruise and a new look would complete this dream. I have never had a manicure, pedicure or facial. Thanks for having this contest for who ever wins, it is a great thing to do for someone.

Susan Abbs

Ssshhh....this is a surprise for our mom, Susan.  We would love to give her a Marvelous Makeover this year and show her just how much we love and thank her for all she does.

For 41 years Susan has done everything for her 3 daughters.  Susan did not always have a wonderful life, but she turned lemons into lemonade. She made sure that we were raised in a loving and safe home. She taught us etiquette and manners, even when we were flat broke. She sacrificed a lot over many years to ensure that we were given the opportunities she didn’t have. Our family is extremely close to this day, and it's because of our mom.  There isn't a day that we don't speak to our mom, and when we need her, she is there. She is an amazing grandmother to 6 grandchildren.

Susan is always thinking of others and helping everyone else out. For the long hours she works and yet gives to everyone else, she deserves something that is just for her. She is our best friend and we love her dearly.

Love, Carrie-Ann, Lisa and Erika

#7

Michelle Miller

Hi everyone! My name is Michelle and I am a 36 year old married mother of two beautiful daughters. I work and run a household. My problem is that I am very plain. I just "pull my hair back" and head out for the day. I would love a manageable hair style. As for makeup...couldn't tell you the first thing about how to apply it. As you can see, I have a black eye (reversible with cosmetic surgery), I would love to know how to "cover it up". I just want everyone to know I would love the chance to bring out my girly side LOL.

#8

Nicole

Hi my name is Nicole I am 23 and I am a mother to 1, my son Aidan who is 2 1/2. Since having him I do not ever have time to do anything for myself or get to go out and have the time to anything for myself. I have also never been an artsy person at all so winning this would guarantee a great look for me that I know I would love and very much appreciate. Somedays I feel very overwelmed and winning this would give me a chance to really just relax which is what I need. Taking care of a 2 year old is very stresssful. Even if I could have time for myself I cannot afford to get any of these things done. It's been over a year since I have had my hair cut and even then I did not pay for it. My mother had to. Please consider me for this. It would be a really great thing for me and I would greatly appreciate it.

Ruby Williams

I have 3 grown children and 15 grandchildren. I am a single mother raising my darling niece Moo-Moo who has Down's Syndrome. I work three jobs- the city of lakeland, the Avenue Hotel Lakeland, Ruby's restaurant at the Avenue Hotel Lakeland, which was recently named in my honor by the owners because they say I am a great cook. I also work at Scott Lake Baptist Church. I don't have very much time for myself because I love to give to others. I would like to look pretty incase they want to use me for some advertising to promote the new restaurant and my homestyle cooking. I have lots of friends that I hope will vote for me because it sounds like fun and I don't get to have a lot of fun.

Ok, I take a good photo but make sure I'm standing a certain way. I'm 74 years old..I know I always take 10 years off so I can get a date. Most of the guys my age are older and not interested in a kickboxer/artist/gardener and chef of sorts. I haven't put on make up in a long time..try to stay in the shadows so the liver spots don't show. My hair is a wreck so I just spike it up and let it fly..Get a free haircut from Carol when I can catch her with her scissors. Haven't worked in 2 years since Eric left this world. Maybe writers/ Artist Block or something. Living in fits and runs..I think the death of someone close makes you act a little weird or maybe I've always been weird. I love life and would truly love a make-over. I still have a lot of life and a lot of living and a professional would tell you I could be really pretty again...I was looking for my photo 3 years back before I lost the 25 pounds at Tigers World..I'm au-na-tural here. Blessings and I see a lot of people that could use this but how many have actually admitted their age? I just finished the cooking demo for the new group"MOMs" think I'm calling the next one,"Heaven's Kitchen" with no swear words". HK"Look me over and be honest. I could use a lift.
