Here's to lifelong, understanding friends and wonderful lunches !!!!!

My friend Ann Wortman sent this to me this morning and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do too!

Understanding Friends

A group of girlfriends, all age 40, discussed where they should meet for lunch.  Finally it was agreed that they would meet at the Ocean View restaurant  because the waiters there were handsome, with tight pants and nice buns.…

Happy New Year!

It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone. And what a crazy year it was. Dominated by negative news and economic woes, I don’t think too many people are sad to say good-bye to 2009. I’ve never been a big New Year’s Eve partygoer and I can’t say that I’ve ever really been a resolution maker either, but one thing is for sure. I have always loved the fresh, new feeling that New Year’s Day brings. As I pack away all of the Christmas decorations and purge the pantry and fridge of the… Continue

Need a good laugh? This should do it!

My sister shared this with me today and it made me laugh out loud!

I hope it does the same for you.

When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the stall doors. Every stall is occupied.

College-Bound Kid

Wow! What a weekend.

My husband and I are the proud parents of two beautiful teenaged girls. The youngest will be 16 this week and our oldest, 18 in February and headed to Florida State University in the Fall. I've been well aware of the fact that my "nest" will be losing one chick soon, but it became very real when we put our signatures on the dotted line of the lease agreement for her apartment yesterday. What an exciting yet sobering moment. Exciting is the fact that this intelligent,… Continue

Wardrobe Malfunction!

I had a funny situation occur today that I thought many of you could appreciate. It certainly added some laughter to the day for my co-workers, friends and family, so I figured I would spread the joy. Enjoy...and feel free to share your own emabarassing moments too!

Ok, so I'm walking down the street on my way to the office and am feeling quite pleased that everyone I pass is greeting me with a great big smile. I think "Awww, how nice!" Then I look down and realize that the button on my… Continue

Six degrees or less?

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the theory of six degrees of separation. If not, simply put, six degrees of separation refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth. I wonder though if that theory is a bit outdated with the growing popularity of social networking. I mean really, until the social networking… Continue
