Do you have a weakness for cookies, cakes, ice cream, and other sweet desserts? These foods are many people’s downfall when it comes to controlling their weight. Some people can give up the potato chips and French fries, but their will power falters when it comes to a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or a box of Dunkin doughnuts. If you’re ready to give sweet foods the heave-ho, here are some ways to stop sugar cravings dead in their…

I wish I could say I penned this. But I can't.
However, I thought it so significant that I wanted all of you to be able to benefit from it, as is.
Somehow, we feel we are paralyzed to make positive changes in our lives. We aren't. We just need to know how!

Detoxing is a popular concept.
All of my 120 Lean Out Lakeland Contestants are currently on "detox week". I challenge ALL of my clients to begin their training with me by following very strict eating parameters to get the ball rolling for all of the changes they are fixing to experience.
Do you need a special “miracle-cleansing” product to really “do it right”?
My short answer is “no.”
Your body was designed to “detox” itself with real food and NO…

BUT, if I had to choose only ONE exercise to do the rest of my life? It would be a Squat or a Lunge.
If you’ve spent any time with me personal training or in our Strategic Boot Camp program, or our newly begun Lean Out Lakeland, you have experienced…

I was honored with the chance to host a "
Fun, Fit, and Guilt-Free House Party" to introduce the new Your Shape for Wii and the tastefully decadent Jell-o Mousse Sensations to my family and friends.
As part of my New Years Resolution, I am working to focus on my health more. It can be said that I am very guilty of putting my children, husband, family, and friends first more times than not. As long as everyone else is taken care of an happy, that's good enough for me. But…

It's a Brand New Year!
Time for some new ideas for your workouts!

A while ago, while studying for my Wellcoaching certification, I ran across an article called
The Making of a Corporate Athlete. The basic premise was that sustained high achievement demands physical and emotional strength as well as a sharp intellect. To bring mind, body, and spirit to peak condition, executives need to learn what world-class athletes already know: recovering energy is as important as expending it.
Interestingly…

Are you desperate to lose fat?
Have joined the ranks of the insanely bored, yet focused cardio worshippers?
Do you feel guilty if you have not spent your hour a day rocking the elliptical machine?
Is your whole workout ruined if someone beat you to the only functioning, coveted

For some people losing weight can be a challenge regardless of the circumstances, and it can be particularly frustrating when the needle on the scale won’t budge when you’re working so hard at it.
