It always puzzles me how some people hate shopping and others love it. Even more puzzling is the fact that a lot of people who love shopping for clothes, shoes, appliances, linens, gifts, etc., are the same people who hate shopping for groceries. I, on the other hand am just the opposite. I normally hate to shop but I really don’t mind grocery…

I did a simple science experiment with my daughter. We put milk in a bowl, then she dropped in food coloring. She only put in blue, yellow, and green because I misplaced the red food coloring since a previous experiment. Then she put some drops of Dawn liquid detergent and set the colors to swirling. I estimated a couple times by saying, “I wonder if these paper clips are going to fit around the pumpkin?” then I…

It is 11am on a Wednesday and I am already planning dinner for my special someone Saturday night. Last night before class- I made a seared tuna steak with a red wine reduction and that was on a TUESDAY! I have hours to plan my upcoming date night dinner so who knows what it will turn out to be…

Fear. No, strike that. Make it terror. Anger. Bitterness. Self-pity. Disbelief. Denial. Numbness. Surreal. Failure. All are bits and pieces of the wave of emotions that came over me when I recently received a diagnosis from my physician. Without getting into details of my personal situation, I'm thinking about the impact of our feelings and the impact of what people say when they hear the news.
Much like a judge reading a verdict in a courtroom, I sat there listening to the…

Just completed 12 weeks of Wonder at Tigers World in Winter Haven.I wondered why I was doing this,I wondered ,Who do the heck I think I am", I wondered,Why don't I act my age"?
Now I sit here thinking when I set my mind and the goal to be less than 120 pounds.
