My mom almost passed out in church a few months ago and scared the @#$% out of me! Turns out she had forgotten she had taken her high blood sugar meds and TOOK THEM TWICE. Her blood sugar was so low we had to administer orange juice and a protien bar someone had to bring her around enough to walk.Since then, I have her meds packaged in the Meds-On-Time blister packs. You could definitely contact them to find out when and where their next presentation will be held. Another training that teaches compassion toward the elderly is an Alzheimer 1 class. Mulberry pharmacy hosts this class once a month. By the public educating themselves with these classes, they are actually giving dignity back to people who did nothing to lose it but grow older.
