Former Bengals, UC Quarterback Greg Cook dies at age 65

My memories of Greg Cook are of a more personal nature. I have wonderful memories of a young man who simply adored his 9 year old son Brandon.  He had a great love for his Mother, Siblings and Grandmother when she was alive, and  loved going back to Chillicothe to be with family.  He played for the University of Cincinnati before he was drafted by the Bengals in 1969. He was regarded as one of, if not, the best quarterbacks in college football when he was selected fifth overall by Cincinnati. …See More

Taking Time To Enjoy The Beauty of a Little Butterfly

The last two days I've been going from room to room cleaning out what I no longer want and need.  Most is going to the Red Cross.  But that's not the purpose of my stopping  what I've been doing to write this.About  half an hour ago when I took things out to the trash the most beautiful little butterfly lit on my finger.  It was a bright orange with three black eyes on each wing.  The underside of the wings were black and white spotted.  I love butterflies and lady bugs.  But this little fella…See More

THIS IS WHAT A MERCEDES BENZ LOOKS LIKE AFTER A 5MPH-15MPH ACCIDENT

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FRIEND'S MERCEDES BENZ IN A 5MPH-15MPH ACCIDENT.  THE SEAT BELT DIDN'T CINCH AND THE AIR BAG DIDN'T DEPLOY.   PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE WINDSHIELD...DONNA'S HEAD CRASHED THERE.  YOU CAN SEE THE DUMMY HAD BETTER LUCK....HIS AIR BAG DEPLOYED.AND YET, MERCEDES DENIES RESPONSIBILITY!  THEY'RE TOO BIG TO FILE SUIT AGAINST.  A FAMILY'S LIFE IS RUINED AND LIFE GOES ON. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ANYONE YOU MIGHT KNOW IN THE MEDIA, ETC. Regarding Donna Mason- Dilday…See More

Mercedes Benz ...you've had Donna M. Mason-Dilday and Jason Dilday's car for over two weeks now???????

Call it a quirk, but the airbags didn't deploy nor did the seatbelts cinch !Mercedes-Benz claims it is dedicated to all Mercedes-Benz owners. They tout the prestigious history of being the oldest and best carmaker in the world.  Please tell me why you've had Donna M. Mason-Dilday 's car for over two weeks now and not done anything constructive??  Please care about this car owner and help.  It wasn't her fault the seat belts didn't cinch and the air bags didn't deploy.  And yet she suffers daily…See More

Stimulas Check

I wish I could take credit for this but I can't.  It did give me a good laugh however and I thought I'd share it! Sometime this year, we taxpayers will again receive another 'Economic Stimulus' payment.   This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it by using a Q & A format:  Q. What is an 'Economic Stimulus' payment ?  A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.  Q.. Where will the government get this money?  A.. From taxpayers.  Q. So the government is…See More

The Passing Of Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:-Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm;- Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies, don't spend more than you can…See More

Social Security Entitlements

It occurred to me that this piece should be committed to memory and recited to the next jerk who preaches about the "entitlements" some of us receive. Then, and only then, should you smack them in the mouth.....all the while smiling. Remember, not only did you and I contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that's close to $220,500 contributed to "the fund." If you calculate the…See More

Mercedes Benz Please Step Up To The Plate!by Linda Loschiavo Makofski on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 4:21pmIf I am sounding like a broken record I apologize.  My needle has been  stuck in the same groove for months now.  I'm praying that Mercedes Benz  will step up to the plate and do the right thing.  As you know, I've  been on this one woman campaign for months now.  A friend of mine,  Donna  M. Mason-Dilday was in what would…See More
