Profile Information

My Personality - Words to Describe Me:
Passionate, honest, grateful, patriotic, humorous, hard working, energetic, fair. I love variety and having options. I like to think that I am morally courageous and my loved ones would agree. I am a bit of a maverick and occasionally a loner. An ethical vegetarian. A total animal lover! God is my creator and the one from whom I seek guidance. I believe we all must contribute a service to this planet and the living creatures of this world. I want to make it better for the next generations.
My Work Life - My Occupation/Business is:
I have been in health care for almost 40 years! I started from the bottom and worked my way up. I have been a critical care nurse for 32 years. I almost became a professional musician. I still have a desire to play music and have just acquired a new flute. I put much energy into teaching new nurses and patients all that I can from my experiences in healthcare.
My Home Life - My Relationship Status/Children:
Lucky enough to have an amazing 31 yo daughter who is obtaining her graduate degree from the University of Florida. I'm also blessed to be married to my 2nd husband who I met on eHarmony!
My Fun Life - My Interests & Hobbies:
Whew! So many things I love to do! Martial arts, languages (I'm trying to teach myself French), working out, being with my family, with my pets, donating to great causes, music, ice skating, reading, sharing ideas w/strong minded and motivated women, working on my family tree hanging out with my daughter and my husband. And I just LOVE to travel.
My Favorites - Celebs, Movies, Books, Websites, Music, Television, Travel & More:
The Godfather movies. The Hunt For Red October. The Ghost and Mister Chicken. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. The soundtrack for The Passion of the Christ. Classical, Baroque, Chamber, ethnic music. Big Band. All things re: WWII. All things animal charity. Alaska!!!!! The Yukon. Europe. Live Science (very awesome website!). Scrubs-hilarious. Food, definatly.....
What Defines Me - The Things I'm Passionate About:
Doing the right thing. Conservation. Discipline. Accountability. Duty. God, family, country. Supporting our troops. The United States Air Force (I was blessed and honored to be a Desert Storm War veteran). Martial arts, health care, nutrition. I'm passionate in the belief the there is something much bigger at stake than personal desire.
Anything & Everthing Else:
As I get older, I find that I have less patience than ever for people who are so absorbed in their self-serving agendas. There's alot of pretense and arrogance in this world. There's also alot of the victim mentality which I found so paralyzing to any sort of mental, psychological and spiritual evolution.
The best way to heal is to serve others and get outside of one's own head.
I try not to ever take myself too seriously!
