Home Seller Tip Of the Month

(Okay- it's the first one, but I promise to be better :) Want to know something that you don't realize in your own home but buyers do? That tell tale grime around white doors (around the area of the knobs and door frames).. Who is to blame? (we MUST blame SOMEONE). Kids. Let's blame the KIDS! What's that you say? You don't have any kids? Well, then...it's YOUR fault. But seriously, a little cleaner on a rag around those pesky areas (or better yet, one of those magic eraser sponges) will do the…See More

Chicken in the House

I live in subdivision row...I live on the very tippy-top of Lakeland. From my front yard I can see the power plant, the tall ride thingy from Cypress Gardens and a bunch of other stuff. I live within a short walk of at least 8 of my friends. I said all of that to describe that I do not live on a farm....Yesterday I came home from working and threw open all the doors to the rear of the house because the weather was warm and the dogs could go freely in an out. I piddled and plundered around for a…See More

She Rescues the Dirt-Blind

Estrogen must be the hormone that makes dirt visible. In a recent unscienticic study performed at the University of MyHouse it was noted that both chocolate milk spills on the kitchen counter AND dust around the baseboards have a ninja-like invisibility to the male species. The test group ranged in age from 10 years old to 50 years old and the test proved to be 100% uniform in findings from all specimens involved in the study. Luckily, the estrogen induced femaled resident in the study was able… Continue

Attack Ninja Geese at Lake Hollingsworth

Posted on September 10, 2009 at 5:41pm 0 Comments

These are true stories people! I had been saving old bread and crackers for the ducks at Lake Hollingsworth. I have forgotten the goods everytime I have ben lately so I gathered it all up before work today and decided to make it my first stop (so the heat and humidity wouldn't make my car smell). 8 a.m. and I am down at the lake with full on makeup, work clothes (dressy) and my loot. I get out of the car and the entire heard starts coming my way like… Continue

Musings From An Angry Housewife (Humor)

Girls- You know the days when the hubs does those "things" that make you want to go out and knock down a brownie troop? It's those things like leaving a bazillion socks on the floor, getting instant paralysis when the dogs need letting out the doorbell rings...those fun things. Here's a lil' list of things you could secretly do to even up the score:

1.) Bake a nice batch of ex-lax brownies. KIDDING OF COURSE

2.) Short sheet him. (Yes, it's 6th grade campy- but aggravating...so… Continue

I think that we should develop a special course for your "dirt-blind" test group and my "what's a chore" test group. In my test group (of one), the garbage has to be placed on top of the SUV and driven 100 yards to the dumpster because walking suddenly becomes unbearable. I remember when I was about 14 and I stuffed so many clothes in my sliding door closet that one day the doors literally came of their tracks as if there were an explosion!

Welcome Dana, obviously you have figured out that it is easier to laugh than look for the aspirin if you cry. And that men are here to highten our awareness of our inner controls. As a Senior Blonde, I stay in a happy state of mind. If I remember anything, I'm Good ! If I don't, I'm Good ! Therefore, all that is left is good thoughts. Till next time,
