- married for 9 years and raising two granddaughters ages 9 and 14

- Not much time to read - love to travel - love country music, love movies (not scary ones or violent ones) Love people and try to help victims of abusive situations when I can. My passion is to raise awareness of domestic violence in our community.
- What Defines Me - The Things I'm Passionate About:
- Domestic Violence is my cause - My daughter was murdered by her husband on August 23, 2008, then he killed himself all in front of my two granddaughters at ages 7 and 12. We now have custody and guardianship of the children and they have come a long way in counselling and with us in our home. We formed a foundation called Heather's Hope Foundation in April of 09 and I stay busy working with that. I help my husband with real estate. I was in real estae myself for 28 years in lakeland and because of my daughter's murder I had to quit and stay home with the children. Our foundation has a candlelight vigil for victims of domestic violence on June 5th at Lk Mirror at 8:00 and a 5K Purple Ribbon Race at Lk Hollingsworth on October 9th at 8:00.
- Anything & Everthing Else:
- Staying busy taking care of the children, doing the household chores and duties and shopping and planning for meetings for the foundation and events, etc. keep me busy. I have RA also so its very difficult to get it all done but with God's help and an amazing husband we do the best we can and seem to get through each day. We belong to 1st Baptist Church at the Mall where Heather's funeral was held and we attend there regularly. I think its important to keep the girls in church and sunday school. We live on Lake Gibson and we love boating, skiing, tubing, fishing and just sitting on the dock and relaxing.

Welcome to WomanToWomanMagazine.com. I'm so glad you are here and so willing to share your family's story. My youngest daughter had Heather when she was at Valleyview.
