Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so it's time to select a wine. Do you know what is on the menu? Are you cooking the meal yourself? Or will you find yourself surrounded by food brought by friends with no advance warning, and no time to pair a wine? Here are a few suggestions which might help your choose your wine.
Bubbly: It's a fabulous aperitif and can be sipped while prepping the meal...or waiting for the turkey to finish cooking. An interesting option can be the Festiberry from Florida Tropical Fruit Wines...it's a sparkling cranberry wine.
Turkey pairings: Beaujolais or Pinot Noir for a red wine, Chardonnay or even a dry Riesling for a white wine.
Ham pairings: Pinot Noir: Oregon or Burgundy for a red wine, Gewürztraminer is a fun white wine pairing.
These are just a couple of ideas to help you on your way. Don't hesitate to seek help on selecting a wine, because you need to enjoy the day, too.
Happy Thanksgving, everyone!
